About branches
Branches are the physical locations where services are carried out to customers. Depending on the type of business, it can be an office, a store, a healthcare facility or a city hall, or something else. A system can consist of a single branch, or thousands of branches.
If you have many branches in the same system, it's likely that many of them share the same needs. Therefore, branches are assigned to a operation profile which defines the queuing rules as well as the equipment and application settings. This makes the branch configuration more efficient since you don't need do all configuration for each branch.
If you change the configuration of an operation profile or a branch, you need to publish the branch to deploy the new configuration.
To see and manage the branches in your system, go to Business Configuration > Branches.
