General and branch-specific configuration

Appointment configuration can be done on both general and branch level. General configuration is global and applies to all branches. Configuration on branch level is only for one branch and overrides any general configuration.

  • General configuration is done in Appointments > General.

  • Branch-specific configuration is done in Appointments > Branch-specific

Note

General appointment configuration requires the Portal Configurations Admin role or System Administrator role. Branch-specific appointment configuration requires the Appointment Manager role or Portal Configurations Admin role.

The following configuration can be done on both general and branch level:

  • Service settings

    • Required resource types

    • Booking rules

    • Availability

    • Notification additions

  • Schedules

In the service settings, you can see if any service specific settings have been done for a service.

Likewise, for schedules, you can see if they are global or branch-specific.

The following configuration can only be done on general level:

  • Screening questions

  • Information questions

  • Resource types

  • Online booking

The following configuration can only be done on branch level:

  • Resource pools

  • Service combinations

  • Resources

Revert from branch-specific to general service settings

If you wish to revert from branch-specific to general services settings, go to Branch-specific > Service settings. Expand a service and click Manage > Revert to general service settings.

Warning

Branch-specific settings are not saved when you revert to general service settings.
